London Pantomime Horse Race Team Inspired by Great Ormond Street Hospital Visit

The team behind the world-famous London Pantomime Horse Race have returned from an inspiring visit to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), where they presented a cheque for £11,600.

The donation was raised through last December’s hugely successful Rock & Pop Icons-themed London Pantomime Horse Race, which attracted thousands of spectators to Greenwich and reinforced the event’s reputation as one of London’s most unique festive fundraising spectacles.

Race founder and organiser Mark Biddiss, accompanied by team members Claire Hatri and Amira Hatri, visited the hospital to learn more about the life-changing work supported by GOSH Charity and to see first-hand the impact that fundraising has on seriously ill children and their families.

Speaking after the visit, Mark said:

“I visited Great Ormond Street Hospital many years ago when my nephew underwent brain surgery, but this visit was a completely different experience. Seeing the dedication, compassion and expertise of the staff, and learning how fundraising directly benefits young patients, had a profound impact on me. It has strengthened my determination to make an even bigger difference through our fundraising efforts.”

Now entering its 13th year, the London Pantomime Horse Race is preparing for what organisers anticipate will be its biggest and most ambitious edition to date.

This year’s theme, TV & Movie Icons, will see more than 20 teams race through the streets of Greenwich in elaborate pantomime horse costumes inspired by some of the most beloved characters from film and television. Several major surprises are currently being planned, with further announcements expected later this autumn

The 13th London Pantomime Horse Race will take place on Sunday 13 December 2026, starting at 1.00pm in Greenwich, London.
