The Woolwich Ferry has been suspended until 4th November for essential repairs.
There will be no Woolwich Ferry service on Friday 1 November, Saturday 2 November and Sunday 3 November.
Services are expected to recommence at the start of service on Monday 4 November.
The works are to repair the fenders that are required for the vessels to berth safely without damaging the vessels or the pontoons.
Foot passengers can use the Woolwich Foot Tunnel or the DLR service between King George V and Woolwich Arsenal as alternative means of crossing the river.
Tricia Ashton, TfL’s Director of Rail and Sponsored Services, said: “Due to essential emergency works, there is no service on the Woolwich Ferry until Monday 4 November. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
“These works are needed to make vital safety improvements. We advise people to use alternative crossings and plan their journeys before they travel while the ferry is closed.”
