Two men have been charged with manslaughter following the death of a man who was struck by a bus in Erith.
Two men have appeared in court in connection with the death of a man who was struck by a bus in Erith.
Mark Pearce, 40, of Lower Road, Bexley, and Markie Collins, 18, of Galleon Close, Bexley, have both been charged with the manslaughter of Amamudin Alikhel, also known as Ali Khan.
The incident occurred on Monday, 28th August 2023, at approximately 10:25 PM. Police were called to reports of a man injured after being hit by a bus on West Road, Erith. Despite the efforts of emergency services, Ali Khan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, it was determined that an altercation had taken place before the victim was struck by the bus. Pearce and Collins were subsequently arrested and charged with manslaughter.
Both men appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 18th September. They were granted bail and are scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday,16th October.
