A 36-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man who was seriously injured in an assault outside a Sidcup pub died in hospital.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called at around 1am on Monday, 25 May, to reports of an assault outside a public house in Station Road, Sidcup.
Emergency services attended the scene and found 50-year-old Stuart Tickner unconscious. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, but, despite the efforts of medical staff, sadly died on Saturday, 30 May.
Mr Tickner’s next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specially trained officers.
Following an investigation, police have charged Liam Burgess, 36, of Dovedale Close, Harefield, with murder and possession of a weapon in a private place.
Burgess appeared before Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 22 June, where he was remanded in custody.
He is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 24 June.
The Metropolitan Police investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
