Greenwich Council has launched a consultation for residents to have their say on how the site will be developed after the sale.
After nearly 250 years as a military base, the Ministry of Defence has decided to sell Woolwich Barracks. The MoD states it’s modernising its defence estate to ensure it is better structured and more economical.
The army will maintain a presence in Woolwich, with the King’s Troop remaining on site at Napier Lines, but parts of the site will become available for new use in 2028. In response to the plans,
