A 30-year-old man hospitalised with a gunshot wound. A 35-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
A man has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Bexleyheath during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services were called to Broadway, Bexleyheath, at around 2.15am on Sunday, 4 January, after reports of a shooting. Officers from the Metropolitan Police attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service.
A 30-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. Police said they are awaiting an update on his condition.
A second man, aged 35, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He was also taken to hospital due to injuries sustained during the incident.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said:
“On Sunday, 4 January at 02:15hrs, police were called to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before taking him to hospital. We await an update on his condition.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene. He was taken to hospital due to his injuries.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
