Andy Woodman departs Bromley as manager with immediate effect.

Andy Woodman has left his position as Bromley manager after the club confirmed that both parties had agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.

The Ravens announced the departure in a club statement on Thursday, with Byron Webster set to take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis while the club searches for a permanent replacement.

The departure brings an end to a spell of more than five-and-a-half years at Hayes Lane, during which Woodman helped transform the Ravens into an EFL club and delivered three trophies.

Byron Webster will oversee first-team matters temporarily as Bromley begin the search for a new permanent manager.

Woodman arrived at Bromley for his first managerial appointment and quickly made his mark. During his first full campaign in charge, he led the club to FA Trophy success, securing a memorable trip to Wembley.

Further history followed two years later when Bromley won promotion to the English Football League for the first time in their 132-year existence.

The Ravens continued their upward trajectory under Woodman, going on to claim the fourth-tier title and earn promotion to Sky Bet League One earlier this year. His achievements throughout the 2025/26 campaign were recognised at the EFL awards, where he received the Manager of the Year honour.

His time in charge also brought notable moments in domestic cup competitions. Bromley reached the third round of the Emirates FA Cup for the first time, earning a trip to Premier League side Newcastle United.

They also recorded a significant Carabao Cup result the following season, overcoming Championship opponents Ipswich Town in a penalty shootout.

Bromley owner and chairman Robin Stanton-Gleaves paid tribute to Woodman following the announcement, acknowledging the manager’s contribution to the club’s progress and expressing his gratitude for their time working together.

Stanton-Gleaves also made clear that the club’s ambitions remain unchanged as Bromley prepare for a new era, with the board determined to maintain the progress achieved in recent seasons.

Woodman departs having played a central role in one of the most successful periods Bromley have experienced, leaving behind three trophies and a lasting place in the club’s history.

With Webster taking temporary charge, the focus now shifts to who will lead the Ravens into the next stage of their journey.
