Sky-High Karaoke: London’s Cable Cars Get a Christmas Makeover

London’s IFS Cloud Cable Car is being transformed into a special festive experience like no other this winter.

Every Thursday and Friday evening from 13th November until 19th December, passengers can book ‘Cable Car-aoke' and perform their favourite songs while soaring above the Thames.

Thanks to a partnership with Time Out, groups can book their own cabin, which will be transformed into a private karaoke booth with microphones, party lights, a speaker and a playlist of 1,000 songs. From pop anthems to rock classics and guilty pleasures, Cable Car-aoke offers passengers their chance to shine — literally — in London’s night sky.

Joe Scheinkonig, Head of Operational Business Development at TfL, said: “We’re excited to sprinkle some festive cheer over the IFS Cloud Cable Car this season! Where else can you belt out Mariah Carey classics with your mates while soaring above the Thames in your own private karaoke cabin? It’s a one-of-a-kind way to celebrate, sing your heart out, and soak up the views of the city’s skyline — all at once.”

As well as Cable-Car-aoke, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the cable car experience this winter. For passengers with a head for heights, the Glass Floor Experience offers a 360-degree view of the city from 90 metres above the Thames, with mirrored ceilings providing the perfect selfie setting. Customers wishing to celebrate Christmas 2025 in a more relaxed way might enjoy the cable car’s Champagne Experience. Tickets include fast tracked entry, plus a glass of Champagne or a soft drink to enjoy before taking to the skies to soak up some spectacular views.
