Bromley FC has been promoted to the Football League and will play in League 2 next season. The club finished in 3rd place in the National League, which is in the 5th tier of the English League pyramid and just outside England's full-time professional football system. The club is due to play in the professional league system for the first time in its history and has had a remarkable rise in the last couple of decades. The club had spent most of its history yo-yo-ing between the 5th and 7th tiers of English football. The club's recent rise has been orchestrated by manager Andy Woodman and has seen the club enter the professional leagues for the first time. The club's attendances at home games is likely to rise ahead of next season as a result of the club's promotion to the Football League with this helping to raise funds for transfers regarding players the club can buy.
