You may have seen England flags popping up in unusual places the past week.
St George's crosses have been seen painted on mini-roundabouts, zebra crossings and even on road signs.
As well as this, Union flags have been seen atop lampposts and footbridges.

St George's flags grew in number as the Lionesses' Euros campaign gathered pace in July and now England are hosting the Women's Rugby World Cup.

Not everyone is happy to see the flags and ad-hoc painted road signs and street markings and local councils around the country have been removing them. Some people have told media that they they find them intimidating.
