Woolwich stabbing was ‘revenge attack’, court hears

The murder trial of 15-year-old Woolwich schoolboy Tamim Ian Habimana is continuing at the Old Bailey.

Five youths are accused of killing the Harris Academy Greenwich student as part of a revenge attack.

The prosecution told the jury that Tamim was attacked with a knife, an umbrella and a rounders bat and could not be revived after he collapsed. His death by stabbing left the Woolwich community shocked and distressed.

The five defendants deny all charges.
