Woolwich Looks Forward to Carnival

Woolwich Looks Forward to Carnival

Carnival is coming to Woolwich this September and the organisers say it’s inspired by the diverse and active community groups in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The carnival will feature live music, dance, community stalls, a parade, steel drums and plenty of good vibes!

In the run up to the event there will be carnival workshops for community groups; these will include costume making, structure building, drum and dance workshops and more.

It all gets going in General Gordon Square on 19th September.  The parade will travel from the Royal Arsenal at 1.30pm through Woolwich, ending at General Gordon’s Square at around 2.15pm, where the celebration continues.
