We’re coming back! Find us on 101.4FM soon

Maritime Radio is coming back to the airwaves this September.

The government regulator, OFCOM, has today announced the frequency on which Maritime Radio will broadcast, 101.4FM.

A new home – in the media centre at Valley Central, Charlton Athletic Football Club – has been found for Maritime Radio, now in its second year.

Maritime Radio will be on air 24 hours each day for 28 days between 27 August and 23 September.  This year the broadcast is a trial run for a potential full time community radio service for Greenwich.

Working with Charlton Athletic and the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), respected institutions in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the radio will be based in the Addicks’ studio.

Founder and presenter, Duncan Martin, said: “We can now tell everyone where they can find us on their radio!  From 27 August, you’ll be able to listen to us at home, at work, or in your car as you drive around Greenwich borough, on 101.4FM”.

The station broadcasts live programmes daily between 7am and 10pm, including a mix of local features, news and sport and traffic and travel bulletins for the area.
