Happy News

Manchester United Footballer Marcus Rashford has become the youngest ever person to top the giving list after he donated millions to help child poverty. At only 23 years-old, he has raised £20 million for the cause which involves donations too. His Giving Index ranking is 125% of his personal net worth which is approximately £16 million. He began the campaign last year as the government was beginning to cut down on spending for free school lunches. He experienced child hunger himself, so this is a cause close to his heart, he knew that disadvantaged kids rely on school lunches for daily calorie requirements. His lobbying got Boris Johnson to U-turn on the decision and has also won the Professional Footballers Merit Award and received an MBE.
