A leading Black Lives Matter campaigner has been shout by a group of men at a South London party, police have said. Sasha Johnson is critically ill after having a bullet to the head in Peckham on the 22nd of May. Her party, which is the “Taking the Initiative Party” apparently had death threats before, but police have said that there was “nothing to suggest” that it was “a targeted attack”. On Monday afternoon a vigil was held in Ruskin Park, close to King’s College Hospital, where Sasha is being treated. During this vigil, well-wishers played African drums and prayed for the 27-year-old to pull through.

Manchester United Footballer Marcus Rashford has become the youngest ever person to top the giving list after he donated millions to help child poverty. At only 23 years-old, he has raised £20 million for the cause which involves donations too. His Giving Index ranking is 125% of his personal net worth which is approximately £16 million. He began the campaign last year as the government was beginning to cut down on spending for free school lunches. He experienced child hunger himself, so this is a cause close to his heart, he knew that disadvantaged kids rely on school lunches for daily calorie requirements. His lobbying got Boris Johnson to U-turn on the decision and has also won the Professional Footballers Merit Award and received an MBE.
