Serious News

The South African COVID variant has been found within North London, and London’s Public Health England Director, Kevin Fenton has said the move was necessary as variants could “spread relatively quickly”. Those who live in Wandsworth, Lambeth and parts of Barnet and Southwark are asked to get COVID tested. Within Wandsworth, at least half a million have been offered test as 44 cases were confirmed. In total, more than 544 confirmed and probable cases of the South African variant were found across the country up to 7th April. Professor Fenton added: “We need to get ahead of the infection, and not keep following behind it”.

Crazy News

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen when you rip up an old carpet? Maybe some d notes, but how about a giant Monopoly board? A couple who recently purchased a new home had this shock when they came across the board which fit snug wall to wall in the room. It was so large that you didn’t need any playing pieces, as you are the playing piece! The couple’s son-in-law added the photo to Reddit and has since had thousands of comments. It was once a massive trend at one time, with a comment saying: “Showed this to my wife, and she reminded me that there’s a whole neighbourhood near us, built in the mid-50s, that has game boards painted or tiled onto their basement floors. Seems to have been a selling point or something”.
