A man has saved a tree from meeting its end and broke records with it since. 39 year-old Tree Surgeon Darren Wilson found the echium plant three years ago in a dumpster after being thrown asway from a job he was working on three years ago. After planting it outside his house, it has grown to 18 feet which is even larger than his house. This tree is the largest in Britain, with the previous record only 2 feet smaller at 16 feet. Do the neighbours like it? Darren replied “One guy actually said he’s pretty sure it runs around the street at night when we’re all in bed. When you come up the road it’s just right there in your eyeline, so it stands out—it looks good, very impressive.” We could never deny that.” From almost trash to soaring above everyone else, this tree has had a massive turnaround!
