A mum-to-be has taken to Mumsnet to announce the controversial plan to give her twins the same middle name after a family member. Asking if it was “weird” to give her two children the same name, she was soon given advice from other members on the forums for mums. One person replied, “it’s a bit weird either way, to be honest”, and another said “Yeah, I’d say it’s a bit weird. Can you not find another family member to name the baby after”. However, one person didn’t think it was weird and said “My friend and his brother and two sisters all had the same middle name. Nobody asks about middle name anyway”.

It has been announced that Australia is set to be reopening tier borders for those that are vaccinated and visa holders for the first time in almost two years. On Monday 21st February, family can see each other again, as can friends, after the country that had perhaps the strictest controls and lockdowns will be easing the rest of the world back in. Areas of the country went into a lockdown just for one single case of COVID. Those unvaccinated who haven’t been jabbed due to medical reasons will still need to apply for a travel exemption and if successful will need to quarantine at a hotel.
