Local Radio Day returns for its fifth year on Monday 12th October 2020 to highlight the
value of local radio to communities and to celebrate the unique relationship between local broadcasting and listeners.
Local Radio Day 2020 will specifically celebrate communities making waves. This is a great opportunity to highlight what people have done to turn the tide on isolation, inspiring and helping others within communities across the nation.
The extraordinary achievements that come from caring and supporting each other are both reflected and amplified by local radio.
Local radio is not only working to reduce isolation but also as a key component in rebuilding communities – with everything from local job vacancies being advertised to signposting people to support services in their areas and encouraging people to shop local.
