Tall Ships bid farewell to Greenwich

The typically gloomy bank holiday weather didn’t put off the crowds as they lined the banks of the Thames in Greenwich and Woolwich on Monday afternoon, to see the Tall Ships Parade of Sail set off.

The rain lifted briefly, as the thirteen Tall Ships left Greenwich one last time.  They had been based at the  Royal Arsenal Woolwich from where they ran daily cruises along the river to Greenwich and Tower Bridge.
