A man was stabbed near to Plumstead Station on Friday morning.
The man, who has not been named, initially fled the scene after the attack, at around 7:20am, but he was later found on a local bus and taken to hospital where he remains.
No arrests have yet been made but police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
