Doctors in London say that the Silvertown Tunnel will worsen the health of Greenwich and mayor Sadiq Khan should rethink the controversial project.
The British Medical Association’s London Regional Council argued that the tunnel will generate extra traffic and worsen air pollution in Greenwich and Newham, “two of the most polluted” boroughs in London.
The doctors added that Greenwich and Newham residents “already suffer ill-health from pollution”.
