A fundraiser has been launched after a patch of AstroTurf was stolen from a Woolwich school.
Cardwell Primary School laid the turf last summer after years of saving to provide children with a new safe play area.
Monica McQueen who started a GoFundMe page has said she hopes to raise money over the summer holidays so that the children can arrive back at school, able to once again play in their garden.”
Cardwell Primary school is asking parents and the wider community to be vigilant and report anything suspicious to the school or police.
