Over 2 million people visited the site in 2024
New data from the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions has revealed Greenwich’s Royal Museum welcomed over 2.2 million visitors in 2024, making it the UK’s 13th most popular visitor attraction.
The famous site, which is the home to the Cutty Sark, Maritime Museum and Queens House, will celebrate the 350th birthday of the Royal Observatory this year.
The figures show the attraction welcomes more visitors than the Royal Albert Hall, Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral.
The British Museum remains the UK’s most visited attraction, with over 6 million visitors annually.
Alongside this, the research shows Eltham Palace is also one of London’s most visited sites, with over 100,000 visitors in 2024.
