Scammers are convincingly impersonating BT in a new email that asks recipients to change their direct debit details, Greenwich Trading Standards has warned.
The scam alert says that the fraudulent email purporting to be from BT has its branding, logo and even its customer service phone number.
But clicking on the button takes you to a fake website, the alert said, repeating the advice never to open attachments or links in unsolicited emails.
