Much loved local road to be renamed

Hopefully, you realised this story was an April’s fools story!  Did we get you though?

A much-loved local road is to be renamed following a long campaign.

Ha Ha Road at Woolwich Common is due to be renamed after a local group campaigned for the name change.  Dale Idiote from the South East London Christmas Association says he’s “over the moon” that Greenwich Council has agreed to rename the street.

From Easter Monday, it will be known as Ho Ho Avenue.

However, not all locals are happy with the change.  Daisy Oblong from nearby Shooters Hill Road said, “I don’t like Christmas and I don’t like the name change.  Bah Humbug!”

The road is used by around 200,000 cars every day and about 12 horses.
