Thousands of free plant-growing kits are being given away at Ikea in Greenwich this weekend as part of an initiative by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
The campaign, called #giveitagrow is being supported by the environmental charity Hubbub and aims to get more Londoners growing plants to support wildlife, improve air quality and boost their mental health.
Each free plant kit will contain crocus bulbs, a mix of native wildflower seeds, parsley, basil, and simple growing tips printed on paper made from recycled coffee cups.
