4 of our bravest radio presenters, are going to sail head first down the longest Zip Line in England at Hangloose Adventure Park in Bluewater on 7th October to raise money for a local child’s cancer medication.
9 year old Alexander has a very aggressive brain tumour that has also spread to his spine. He has endured 2 brain surgeries and one spinal surgery plus 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy. His parents were told he only had a 20% chance of survival with these standard NHS treatments so they searched the globe to find the latest treatments outside of the NHS.
They found a breakthrough medication that really works for him and stops the tumours from growing back but it costs £3,700 per month and they fundraise to pay for it. It is coming to the NHS for all children next spring but his parents have to keep fundraising until then.
