A soldier from Greenwich has won the British Army’s coveted Sportsman of the Year Award.
Lance Sergeant Natty Ngwenya serves in the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards and currently holds the English and Three Nations Heavyweight Boxing title.
Collecting his Army Sportsman of the Year trophy on Friday night, Ngwenya said he was “ecstatic, proud, humbled and honoured”. He now hopes to become a professional boxer.
