A man is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car which failed to stop. The South Circular is shut between Bromley Road and Thomas’ Lane in the stretch known as Catford Road following a collision in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the A205 Catford Road at the junction with Canadian Avenue at 03.31am after a report of a collision.
A male pedestrian suffering serious injuries was found by the officers and London Ambulance Service.
The road has been reopened now but there are long queues back to Lewisham and Bellingham.
