Headliners announced for Greenwich Get Together and Armed Forces Day

The headliners have been announced for the Royal Greenwich Get Together and Armed Forces Day.

X-factor finalists Misunderstood and popular children’s show Gangsta Granny will be taking centre stage in Woolwich on 29th June.

The day’s activities will kick off with a veterans’ parade on the Royal Arsenal, celebrating the rich military history of the borough.

The South-east London duo, Misunderstood will take to the main stage in Artillery Square

Other highlights at the free event, which takes place across the whole of Woolwich from General Gordon Square right down to the river, include a pop up circus theatre house, a carnival-style community parade, a craft workshop with world-renowned theatre company Punchdrunk and a pirate ship children’s play area as well as artisan street food, bars and a farmers’ market.

Maritime Radio will be broadcasting live from the event on Saturday the 29th June.
