Greenwich boy is 100th London murder victim

A boy from Greenwich was stabbed to death in Stratford on Thursday evening. He was the 100th person murdered in London this year.

The boy, who was reportedly aged 15 but has not yet been named, was found at 6:45 on Thursday with stab wounds to his thigh and chest. Local people reported seeing a “ferocious” fight in Byford Close, near Vicarage Lane, before the boy was found there.

An air ambulance attended the scene but despite an extended battle by paramedics to save him, the boy was pronounced dead an hour later.
