UK’S finest reggae/ska tribute band “THE ESKALATORS”.
The Eskalators were formed approximately ten years ago and have extensively toured the UK performing at pubs, clubs, weddings, festivals, and corporate functions.
They cover songs from artist such as Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Decker, Laurel Aitkin, Toots and the Maytals, Dawn Penn, Prince Buster, Ken Booth, Sugar Minot, John Holt, Dennis Brown, Max Romeo, Gregory Issacs, Erol Dunkley, and of course the late, great Bob Marley, Plus many, many more.
They are more of a collective of great and well-established musician’s than a fixed line up, a bit like a football team, they are lucky enough to be able to pick and chose the line-up for any event based on who is match fit and available, and the events requirements.
Their basic line-up is a six-piece consisting of drums, Bass, Keyboards, guitar, saxophone, and lead vocals, but we can also extend to a nine piece with the addition of an extra guitarist, trombone, and trumpet, depending on the booking’s requirements and budget.
The band members consist of:
One of the UKS most recognised and accomplished reggae/ska drummers “Gabbi? who has played with many reggae reggae/ska greats such as Laurel Aitkin, Alton Ellis………..
Mark Thompson who has also played with Alton Ellis, Bad Manners, Big Youth, Pappa Levi, Susan Cadogan, The Pioneers, Ken Booth and many more.
OUR BASS PLAYER:
The amazing and solid as a rock Anne Marie who has played with Michael Prophet, Errol Dunkley, BB Seaton, Earl 16, Christopher Ellis and many more. They only have one bass player at present, but with Anne Marie on board you only need one.

Calvin Benington, who apart from playing with Max Romeo and Damian Marley has played with too many both Jamaican and UK ska/reggae artist to even start listing.
Doc (the keyboards doctor) whose real name we do not even know is one of the most solid and competent keyboard players in the UK, and who’s musical experience is far too long to list.
Steve Harris, singer/songwriter, and great rhythm guitarist.
Lenny Bignell, rhythm/lead guitarist and producer has worked with The Pioneers, Keith and Tex, Dave and Ansell Collins, the legendary Rico, Dandy Livingstone, and produced an entire catalogue of other very well-known reggae/ska artist.

Phill Veacock leads our brass section on saxophone along with doing the same with Jool’s Holland’s rhythm and blues orchestra, so he has played with some of the biggest superstars on the planet.
Our lead singer/frontman:
George Pickett has worked and written with the Redbeats, the Regulators, Maroontown, and of course at present fronts The Eskalators. He has done vocals with too many other artists to list. George is the type of frontman that has the ability too get the most stagnant of crowds off their back sides and skank the night/day away.
