Science or science fiction?
January 29 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm GMT
Join astronomers from the Royal Observatory Greenwich as they separate science-fact from science-fiction in the films you know and love, and a few films you might not have heard of…
Starting with that classic of less-than-robust sci-fi, the 2003 film The Core, Royal Observatory Astronomer Bryony will explain why none of the “scientists” in that movie should ever have received their PhDs and go on to discuss some of the common mistakes in the most scientifically inaccurate films of the genre.
Join them for an evening of thrills, spills and pedantry as they take you on a journey through the good, the bad and the physically inaccurate.
No travel needed, just an internet connection to join us online via Zoom. Invite details will be included in an email after you have booked your place.
