Saturday Art Club

The Saturday Art Club is part of the National Saturday Club network and is the free weekly creative drop-in for young people aged 13-16. Sessions take place 10am-1pm every Saturday and will commence again in October 2021.This is a wonderful opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends, achieve a Bronze or Silver Art Award and showcase your artwork in a national exhibition! What does it involve?
Now in its fifth year, the club offers FREE Saturday classes from October to April. The weekly workshops will be facilitated by a professional artist who will support you to develop new skills in critical thinking and creative practice. You will have opportunities to work across different artistic disciplines from printmaking and textiles to film and animation, exhibit your work, facilitate workshops, visit other galleries and gain an accredited Bronze or Silver Arts Award. Club members will also take part in three National Events; the London Visit, in which club members take part in a pop-up self-portrait exhibition and visit the capital’s museums and galleries; a Masterclass with a leading creative industry professional; and the Summer Show where all club members exhibit their work in an exhibition in Somerset House, London.
Do I need to bring anything?
All materials will be provided. You’re welcome to come along by yourself or bring some friends.
Does it take place every Saturday?
The club takes place every Saturday from 10am to 1pm during autumn, winter and spring terms only.
Do I need to attend every session?
To get the most out of each session, it is important to come on time and regularly.
