An investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death in Belvedere. Emergency services were called to Heron Hill, near Lesnes Abbey early on Friday morning where the man was found with serious injuries. He was transferred to nearby Plumstead High Street where an air ambulance crew tried to save him, but was pronounced dead just after 7am.
Police have stressed that the incident is not currently being treated as murder and that they are keeping an open mind about the cause.
Both Heron Hill and Plumstead High Street were cordoned off on Friday morning but have since reopened.
