England have qualified for Euro 2024 following there 3-1 victory over Italy with goals from forwards Harry Kane who netted a brace and a goal from Marcus Rashford. England clinched there place at the Euro 2024 finals as group winners which means that they do not have to go through the potentially hazardous play-off process which potential runners-up and defeated opponents Italy will likely have to go through to qualify for the final tournament. Italy had taken the lead from an early goal from former West Ham United and current Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca. England equalised just before half-time through captain Harry Kane and later scored to further goals in the second half to clinch the game and qualification to the final tournament. Marcus Rashford put England 2-1 in front before Kane netted his second towards the end of the game the seal the game for England.
England are likely to be one of the seeded outfits for the European Championships in Germany next year which means they will likely be among the strongest teams at the tournament as well as being placed in one of the less difficult groups. They will also likely be amongst the more stronger teams at the tournament although just short of being among the the genuine favourites as opposed to nations like Spain and France.
