Londoners have offered mixed reviews of the Elizabeth line, two months since it opened in a blaze of publicity as “the most spectacular railway in the world”.
A poll of readers by the Londonist website has revealed that most people felt the Elizabeth line had improved their life, making it easier to travel between Woolwich and central London. Many praised the line’s onboard air conditioning.
But, some said they weren’t impressed with the connecting services and that there were difficult interchanges at Paddington, Tottenham Court Road and Canary Wharf.
