Bob visited Greenwich Market this afternoon, met some of the traders and sampled some of the produce on offer.

Yasak (Jack)

Yasak (Jack) with today’s catch of  Oysters from Mersea island, off the Essex coast.  Yasak, originally from Poland, has worked on Greenwich, and other markets, for eleven years.  Were these Oysters as good as the ones Bob is used to in his hometown, Whitstable?  He tried some on air to compare the taste!  Listen again:

Lusanna

Lusanna, originally from Spain, now runs her stall at the market, selling pop art.

Sam & Sam on their stalls, Wonderfully Weird.   Design and make bags and weird creatures.   Face-painter Sam has had a pitch at Greenwich Market for the past 5 years.  They told Bob more about their life on the market.

Greenwich covered market hosts up to 120 stalls for antiques, art & other goods, plus take-out bites.
