Greenwich’s Project Hope is appealing again to local businesses and individuals to donate items for NHS staff. The initiative is looking for tea, coffee, longlife milk and sugar, as well as self-care items like lip balm and hand cream, to allow NHS staff to have a break as they care for covid-19 patients.
Although hospital admissions have dropped sharply since the third lockdown began, increasingly fatigued staff are still caring for large numbers of very sick patients.
Rather than dropping items off at hospitals, those who want to help should visit the Project Hope page of the council website.
