Charlton man runs 80km in aid of children’s charity

A man from Charlton will run nearly fifty miles through London this weekend in aid of the NSPCC. The 80 kilometre “Tour de London” course represents one metre run for each of the 80,000 children believed to have been abused in the UK in the last year.

Joshua Corneck, who only took up regular running this year, has already raised £3,400 for the children’s charity. A victim of childhood sexual abuse himself, Joshua said that he wants to “raise some money to fund the selfless and untiring people who devote their lives to these innocent children who don’t have the support I did.”
