Charlton Man arrested for bogus police officer burglary

A man from Charlton has been charged with a burglary in which suspects posed as police officers. The incident, which took place on the ninth of July, saw two men dressed as police officers arrive in a car with a blue flashing light and then burgle a property near Westerham in Kent, allegedly making off with cash and items including a designer handbag. The gang also attempted to force their way into another address in the same gated development.

 

Daniel Bowen, who is forty-three and lives in Wolfe Crescent, Charlton, was arrested on Thursday in connection with the incident and charged with aggravated burglary and attempted burglary with intent to steal.
