A family in Blackheath Standard have raised £288 pounds to support the NHS.
Paul and his 7 year old son Harry set up a garage sale of toys on Sunday 19th April to raise funds for the NHS, inspired by Captain Tom Moore, the former British Army officer, known for his efforts to raise money for charity in the run-up to his 100th birthday during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic.
The families original target was £100, but now they are aiming to reach £400 as neighbours have now donated new items to sell like puzzles, books and DVDs.
Their little shop on Langton way and Stratheden road is usually open between 4 and 6 pm.
Father and son are very grateful for the support of the community but also because the experience has given them the chance to meet the local residents.
