Birds stolen from Carers’ Centre

Greenwich Carers’ Centre has announced that a break-in over the bank holiday weekend resulted in a number of birds being stolen from its aviary.

A newly-hatched canary, which was still feeding from its mother was also deliberately killed.

The aviary is a well-loved feature of the centre and residents are said to be devastated by the news.

The stolen birds are three leopard canaries, two yellow canaries and two male budgies. If anyone has any information regarding the theft, please contact the Greenwich Carers’ Centre on 0208 102 9654 or email info@greenwichcarerscentre.org.
