Each week, Ben Hopkinson looks back at what’s happened the past 7 days and what was trending on Twitter with the Maritime Hashtag Minute.
This week’s #MaritimeHashtagMinute was #BritishEaster, a phrase that was trending during the week and ties in well with our Best of British music theme across the long weekend. View the Tweets below:
Easter is spending Friday thinking it’s Saturday, Saturday thinking it’s either Friday or Sunday, Sunday thinking it’s Saturday, and Monday thinking it’s Sunday.

Pigging out on chocolate and being too sick for the Sunday Roast is a British Easter tradition and I'll be damned if I let any woke Doctors try to influence me otherwise.

British Easter?

I'm assuming this is the honourable tradition of being stuck in traffic for 5 hours before eating your body weight in mini eggs????
Honestly, every time you think the numpties can't get any more hard of thinking, they step it up a gear...🤣#Easter
Everyone who is saying they want a British Easter is just reminiscing back to the old days when things were a lot simpler. That's all they want. Enough eggs on Sunday to sink the Belgrano, lamb dinner, three channels on the telly and nodding off to the Royal Variety Performance.
